It was just 2 months ago when we gave you an insight into the expansion of SalzburgMilch GmbH in our blog post. From the end of April to July 2020, our installation partner, WDS-Neumeyer GmbH,- installed 3,600 m² of Hydewa sandwich panels with Glasbord® PWI-P surface in the new ripening rooms 4,5 and 6 of Austria’s third largest dairy. The installation work has now been completed and we are proud to have once again equipped SalzburgMilch GmbH with our hygienically impeccable products. Because already in 2013, during the construction of the cheese dairy rooms 1-3, WDS installed 4,800 m² of our panels. And also in 2017, when the existing ripening rooms were enlarged, SalzburgMilch decided to install 1,500 m² of Hydewa panels. Together, this adds up to 9,900 m² of installed Hydewa products, which have since ensured uncompromising building hygiene in the ripening rooms of the Austrian dairy.

The above video from the construction site at SalzburgMilch shows you an excerpt of the assembly of our sandwich panels. First, the fitters from WDS unload the sandwich panels with an octopus. Then they carefully straighten the panels and bring them to the site. There, the erectors place the Hydewa sandwich panels in a U-channel. Before they are pushed together, a connecting spring is inserted into the left panel. Finally, the panels are fixed in place. This process is repeated until the entire ripening room is covered with the sandwich panels.
